Vacation in the mountains

On the road between the Dolomites and Kronplatz

The Gsieser Valley

Dolomites or Kronplatz – why not both?

Experience the diversity

The Gsies Valley offers you the perfect starting point to explore both the Dolomites and the region around Kronplatz without having to choose between the two destinations.

Whether you want to visit the majestic Lake Braies, circle the impressive Three Peaks, or take the stylish cabins up to Kronplatz – here, you have all the options. Or perhaps you simply prefer to enjoy the silence of the valley? We warmly welcome you.

Hiking and mountains

The hiking tours in our region are, first of all, diverse, secondly, truly rewarding, and thirdly, possible all year round. Whether it's the crunching snow underfoot, the golden-yellow colored leaves, nature awakening to life, or the refreshing mountain air—being on foot in nature refreshes our mind, promotes health, and, incidentally, lifts our spirits.

Mountainbike

Wander through the rustic landscape with original farmhouses. At your own pace. In pure freedom. Anyone who comes here for cycling will soon realize: the possibilities for bike tours are almost endless. Mountain bikers ride uphill on forest roads, while gravel and trekking bikers travel through the valley on firm gravel paths.

Pure delight all year round?

Both in summer and winter, the owners of our alpine huts spoil their guests on the pastures with traditional alpine and farmhouse dishes. A highlight is the famous South Tyrolean Brettljause, served with homemade speck, smoked sausages, and homemade cheese.

Are there winter activities at the Binterhof?

Cross-Country Skiing

Cross-country skiing in the Gsies Valley and its surroundings is a real insider tip for lovers of this sport. The wide, sunny valley floor is perfect for gliding through the pristine valley on more than 50 km of trails. Through snow-covered forests, past picturesque farmhouses and typical inns that invite you to take a delightful break.

Ski & Snowboard

Welsberg, Taisten, and the Gsies Valley provide the ideal base for a ski vacation in the Puster Valley. In addition to three village lifts in Taisten, Pichl, and St. Magdalena, the Kronplatz and the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski area are in close proximity.

Tobogganing & ice skating

In addition to cross-country skiing and downhill skiing, tobogganing and ice skating are other winter activities. There are two natural ice rinks and the artificial ice rink in Monguelfo with continuous ice available for ice skating.

Winter hiking

Hike through the snow-covered winter landscape with sturdy shoes or snowshoes, enjoy the fresh air and stop off at a cozy mountain hut.

Fun for children

Children have fun, parents relax: Excursions, mini golf or a show farm provide adventures together. Delicious regional dishes on the mountain pastures will satisfy your hunger.
